About the Author of
The Power of Ultrasonics
Fridus van der Weijden, DDS, graduated in 1984 from the State University Dental School in Utrecht, The Netherlands, where he acquired further training as a periodontist. In 1990 he received specialty certification periodontology by the Dutch Society of Periodontology and has been accredited in implantology by the Dutch Society of Oral Implantology.
Since 1986 he has divided his time between the Clinic for Periodontology in Utrecht and the Academic Centre for Dentistry in Amsterdam. The main focus of his research is the treatment and prevention of periodontal diseases.
