Van B. Haywood, DMD, is Professor of Oral Rehabilitation and Director of Continuing Education at his alma mater, the Medical College of Georgia School of Dentistry.

In 1988, he and Dr. Harald Heymann co-authored the first publication on nightguard vital bleaching. Since then, he has conducted extensive research and authored more than 90 publications on this technique and other topics related to bleaching and esthetics.

Dr. Haywood serves on the editorial boards of the Journal of Esthetic Dentistry, Journal of Operative Dentistry, and Journal of the American Dental Association. He lectures extensively across the US and internationally and is an active member of numerous dental associations and academies.
