| About the Authors of Interpreting Dental Radiographs Keith Horner Keith Horner is Professor of Dental and Maxillofacial Imaging at the University of Manchester, UK. He qualified as dentist in Leeds in 1981. A series of junior hospital posts led to his Fellow in Dental Surgery (FDS[Edin]). A year as a Master of Science student was followed by a training program in dental radiology, completed in 1988. He has been at Manchester since that year, obtaining a personal Chair in 2001. John Rout John Rout is Consultant and Head of the Radiology Department at Birmingham Dental Hospital. He qualified in 1968 from London University and after three years in general dental practice trained as an oral surgeon and then as an oral and maxillofacial radiologist in Birmingham. He is a member of national and local committees, past President of the British Society of Dental and Maxillofacial Radiology and the author of three textbooks.Vivian E. Ruston Vivian Rushton is a Lecturer in Dental and Maxillofacial Radiology at the University Dental Hospital of Manchester. Her main research interests include advance imaging techniques and primary care radiology. Dr. Rushton is a member of several national and European committees overseeing the development of referral criteria and standards within dental radiology.
