Allan R. Pike, DDS, MS, received his DDS degree from Marquette University Dental School, Milwaukee, Wisconsin in 1962 He received a Certificate in Specialty Training in Pedodontics I(1966) and an MS in psychology (1968) from the University of Oregon Dental School (OHSU), Portland.
Dr. Pike is a part-time clinical instructor in the pediatric clinic at OHSU School of Dentistry and has had a full-time private practice in pediatric dentistry for 38 years. Over that time, he has delivered scores of presentations on new approaches to behavior management to dentists and dental students in the Pacific Northwest. A former president of the Oregon Academy of Pedodontics, Dr. Pike is helping to drive a growing concern about the lasting effects on children when they are treated with traditional methods of control in the dental office.
