Objectives
When you complete this course, you will take a test that will measure your ability to identify:
- Nutrition and its effects on adult females' and older adults' oral health.
- Nutritional requirements from infancy through adolescence for good oral health.
- Food patterns, fads, and preparation/damage.
- Physiologic factors and systemic diseases that affect oral health.
- How nutrition relates to dental caries, gingivitis, periodontal disease, and other oral cavity alterations.
- Methods of nutritional assessment and counseling.
