If you're planning to talk to patients about Implants... Be sure you understand "osseointegration" - the process by which dental implants attach to bone. It's also one of dentistry's newer tools. Not all of us do implants. But general dentists, hygienists, and dental assistants need to be able to discuss the technique with patients. If they're candidates for implants, they'll appreciate knowing what to expect. They'll also be impressed that you knew all the relevant details. So, be sure you can confidently explain osseointegration and describe its surgical stages to your patients. Be up-to-date on surface preparation, biomechanics, and specialized instruments for implant maintenance. When you take our new dental implants course, you will be. |
